NUA strives to provide our clients with a uniquely tailored portfolio meeting our client's specific needs. We do that by going through our multi-step process to determine the most appropriate course of action for each of our clients.
1) Information Gathering and understanding your needs - Initially we meet with our clients and discuss their expectations, goals, levels of acceptable risk, time horizons, analysis of current investments and financial details. This meeting is purely a fact finding session, so we can properly prepare for the next steps.
2) Investment Plan and Client Goals - After our information gathering session, we develop a financial plan for our client, which outlines their goals and expectations. We include in these plans, an IPS, or Investment Policy Statement. An IPS is effectively a road map individually tailored for each client. This IPS reflects our client's unique situation and is meant to be a "living document" which is periodically updated to reflect changes in our clients' lives.
3) Portfolio construction - After discussing what our clients' goals are, we then construct a portfolio uniquely crafted for their specific needs. We take into account a number of factors in this process including: overall portfolio design, marco economic factors and trends, proper diversification of assets, manager selection, risk and tax analysis, and correlation to other investments. Once we construct this portfolio it is presented to the client for further review.
4) Monitor & Rebalance- After the portfolio is constructed, we continually monitor our clients' portfolios to ensure they are performing as expected.
Predictable performance is a result of proper due diligence, analysis, risk assessment, and planning. We rebalance and reallocate our client's portfolio as the market condition dictate. We have quarterly and annual reviews with our clients to discuss their current status and any changes that we need to be made aware of. Client contact is not limited to these quarterly reviews.
